Corrosion Resistance Chart
Technical Information Material selection depends upon several criteria including the environment where the lining is used, the chemicals it will come into contact with and also abrasion conditions in use. The technical information provided is therefore a general guide and ACCS will help you identify the optimal material for your application.
All physical and chemical requirements necessary for satisfactory service must be considered when selecting cements for a particular duty. It is not advisable to attempt to combine resistance data for combination of different chemicals. Whilst every care has been taken in compiling the charts the makers cannot assume liability in connection with their use.
In the case of Latex Cements it is generally considered that resistance is limited to 5% concentration in the case of acids and 20% in the case of alkaline conditions, with a limited temperature of 140°F (60°C).
Key to Symbols
